Who wants to preach to the converted mind You see us all over the world Who wants to show what they can do Tell fellow man that they’re wrong Or belong on the side of the fence that you’re on So please don’t lye down in your bed Because it sparks off the hardest of thoughts Chess pieces in little clubs Hide with each other Hunting in their packs So high above God’s little Soldiers Creeping round outside our houses

about

Giants Causeway is a solo E.P I recorded in January 2013 and released late 2014 - some of these tracks are completed and some are still in 'demo' form. In April 2013 the recording of the new Nick & the Sun Machine album (Wide Lying Smiles) started to take up a lot more of my time and this project got shelved for a while.. It's nice to finally give you a version of the e.p. The Sun Machine make some great contributions to tracks like 'God's little Soldiers' and an earlier version of 'A Reason With Me' plus it features some lovely cello from Michael Wigram (who played on my debut 'Dream Logic') on 'No Golden Returns' and 'The Woman holds me tight'. Justin French also contributes some excellent ideas - I loved chopping food and making rhythms with him on one particular track.. it got bonkers and we had a great time recording it! Enjoy!
